Business Changes in 2008

Frank Borowicz- After 55 years of business expertise and many homes reflecting his work, Frank Borowicz sold his business, Borowicz Construction, in the fall of 2008 to his son, Mitch.  Frank is still doing custom cabinet work in his shop at his home.  Frank and wife, Bernie, are enjoying retirement.  Frank has 5 children, and Bernie has 4 children.  They look forward to seeing more of the children, but Frank admits that he still spends much of his time in the cabinet shop.  Frank and Bernie will still be heard singing in and around Argyle.  The City of Argyle and the Argyle business community want to thank Frank Borowicz for his 55 years of being an Argyle businessman!

Dawn's Diner- On May 7, 2008, Chad and Dawn Pietruszewski purchased the cafe in Argyle from David and Brenda Safranski.  Tater's Cafe became Dawn's Diner.  After a water damage problem, Dawn's Diner was renovated in January 2009.  Chad and Dawn have six children, and they live in Argyle.  Dawn met and married Chad while living in Louisiana.  Chad was in the U.S. Army.  Dawn's Diner is open Monday through Saturday, 6:30AM - 7:00PM and Sunday, 8:00AM - 7:00PM.  Dawn's Diner serves daily specials, regular menu items, and daily evening specials.  Dawn also caters special events, Thursday Senior Meals, and daily seniors' diner club meals.  Welcome to the Argyle business community, Chad and Dawn!

M Borowicz Construction- Mitch Borowicz is the proud new owner of M Borowicz Construction.  Mitch had been working with his father at Borowicz Construction of the past 12 years.  He was part owner of the business for some of the years.  In the fall of 2008, Mitch purchased the company from his father Frank Borowicz, and changed the name of the business to M Borowicz Construction.  Mitch continues his father's hard work philosophy and business expertise.  M Borowicz Construction specialized in new construction, remodeling, and concrete.  Mitch proved to be pretty fearless in his fixing of the chimney on top of the school in June of 2008.  Many Argyle residents watched as Mitch and his workers scaled the very high roof with their equipment and worked from sun up to sun down.  Mitch lives in rural Argyle.  Welcome to the Argyle business community, Mitch!

Body Works Collision Center- Micah Hamm came to Argyle in October of 2002 to work for Terry's Body Shop.  After working in Warren for 5 years with his business, Body Works Collision Center, he had a lot of experience to help Terry Sundby.  Micah worked for Terry until 2006.  Micah spent a year in Colorado and came back to help Terry again in 2007.  On June 1, 2008, Micah decided to reopen his business, Body Works Collision Center, by renting the building space from Terry.  In October of 2008, they constructed a wall in the building so Micah would have a private working space.  Consequently, they have developed a new mini-mall in Argyle.  Micah lives in rural Argyle.  Micah would like to thank the Argyle and area residents for their business and patience.  Welcome to the Argyle business community, Micah!

Marshall County Group Home- In May of 2008, the Marshall County Group Home, Inc. purchased the office footage housed in the Argyle Enterprise Center from Joann Dufault, owner of KJ's Fitness Center.  The new office space houses the executive offices for the Marshall County Group Homes, Inc.  Sarah Kuznia, Executive Secretary, and Sue Holter, CEO, have their offices in the new building.  Bremer Bank and Farm Credit both have donated furniture for the office.  Marshall County Group Homes, Inc. would like to thank the Storm football team members who helped with the move.  Both Sue and Sarah love having windows after eight years having their offices in the basement of Cedar Place South.  Marshall County Group Home Inc. manages Cedar Place North, Cedar Place South, and Sutton Place in Argyle.  In Warren, they manage Marshall Place and River Place.  They also conduct an In Home Program.  Marshall County Group Homes Inc. has 56 staff members and 34 consumers.  Welcome to the Argyle city limits and business community, Marshall County Group Homes, Inc!
